Edna Bohanek

Edna Bohanek, 87, passed away Thursday August 26, 2010 at Imboden Creek Living Center.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday August 30, 2010 at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, IL. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.dawson-wikoff.com

Edna was born on April 7, 1923 in Chicago, IL. She married Edward Bohanek on May 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death. Edna worked as a bank teller in Westmont and then moved to Decatur and went to work for Taber Grain and later with ADM. She was of the Evangelical Lutheran Faith, member of the Audubon Society and was very active with her daughter Betty Ann helping to band hummingbirds.

Edna is survived by her brother Henry "Hank" Brinker of Westmont, special friend Ruth Long of Decatur, nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Orna, husband Edward, daughter Betty Ann, three brothers and two sisters.
